LONGDING, 25 May: Longding police arrested two persons in connection with a burglary case and recovered stolen money of Rs 17 lakhs from their possession.
As per the report, the money was stolen from the office of the Wancho Baptist Church Association here on 16 May.
The two persons, identified as Khonak Wangpan (30) and Phelam Wangpan (25), both from Mintong village, were arrested by a team of police led by DSP Chamrak Arun after several raids conducted in multiple locations here on Wednesday.
The recovered amount was seized in the presence of executive magistrate Gyamar Amte. The entire search operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Vikram Hari Mohan Meena. DIPRO
