NAMSAI, 30 May: The Namsai police on Monday arrested a 30-year-old woman for allegedly peddling drugs.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by DSP Kengo Dirchi raided the house of the woman in Koseng village and recovered one plastic container containing contraband substance, weighing about 5 grams, and Rs 11,290, suspected to be sales proceeds, Namsai SP DW Thongon informed in a release.
The recovered items were seized in the presence of an executive magistrate.
A case been registered against the alleged accused at the Namsai police station under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act, the SP said.
