PASIGHAT, 4 Jun: At the initiative of East Siang Sainik School (ESSS) Principal, Commander Praveen Kumar Pola, the government of Assam has sanctioned an annual merit scholarship of Rs 40,000 for the domicile cadets of Assam studying in the ESSS, from the 2021-22 academic year.
Pola informed that the school has taken up the issue
with the governments of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal too to sanction annual merit scholarships for their domicile cadets studying in the ESSS.
He informed that the Arunachal government has already sanctioned an annual merit scholarship of Rs 95,535 for the APST cadets studying in the ESSS from 2018-19. (DIPRO)
