Traffic police crack down on violators in ICR, vehicles seized

ITANAGAR, 4 Jun: Thirty-four vehicles were seized and 227 ‘MV violators’ were identified during a ‘mass motor vehicle (MV) checking’ drive carried out by the ICR traffic police on Saturday.

Rs 3,29,300 was realised as fines from the violators.

Traffic police teams from both Itanagar and Naharlagun conducted the drive.

ICR SP Jimmy Chiram requested the public to “ensure to prepare proper documentation of their vehicles and follow traffic rules for their own safety.”

The drive was led by Traffic DSP PN Jomoh. He was assisted by ASP (P) Anurag Dwivedi, Itanagar SDPO K Sikom, DSP (P) M Bole and R Obing, SIs SS Jha and LB Chetry, and teams from the two police stations.
