PASIGHAT, 7 Jun: The Perme Kening Welfare Society (PKWS) organised an awareness programme on education, drugs, tobacco and alcohol at Ngopok village in Mebo subdivision of East Siang district recently.
During the programme, doctors, administrators, advocates, police officers and teachers delivered lectures on the topics to the gathering of members of the Perme clan, including students, teachers and parents from Ngopok and adjoining villages.
PKWS secretary Miti Megu Perme informed that similar awareness programmes will be organised in the future “to make the villages free from all social evils.” (DIPRO)
