ITANAGAR, 17 Jun: Boni Mangkhya won the second medal for Arunachal Pradesh in the first Khelo India National Weightlifting Women Ranking Tournament at Bagwan Nagrota, Himachal Pradesh, on Friday.
Participating in the junior 55 kg weight category, she lifted a total of 161 kgs (snatch: 71 kgs + clean & jerk: 90 kgs) to win the bronze.
On Thursday, Kaken Doyom had won a bronze medal in the youth 40 kg category. She lifted 40 kgs in snatch and 55 kgs in clean & jerk for a total of 95 kgs.
Participating in the youth section, Mercy Teli (49 kg) and Pungni Tara (40 kg) secured the fifth and the sixth position, respectively.
Techi Nadam (49 kg) finished ninth in the senior category.
