ITANAGAR, 18 Jun: The All Arunachal Pradesh Elementary Teachers Association (AAPETA) has sought creation of various posts, including that of DDEEs, in all the districts “under separated directorate of elementary education.”
Addressing the media here on Saturday, AAPETA president Phill Takur said that the state government should give due importance to elementary education “as elementary education is the foundation of all education.”
He sought immediate creation of district-level posts in all the districts, and appealed to the education department to “implement the recruitment rules of the elementary teachers immediately to stop corruption.” He also called for “creating promotional scope and bringing an end to out-of-turn promotion.”
The AAPETA president also appealed to “all the executive members and members of parents’ organisations” to “guide and extend their support.”
AAPETA general secretary Bamar Yinyo commended the state government “for approving and implementing pay band PB-II to PB-III, which will pave the way for higher pay scale and for more scope to the teachers engaged in elementary education.”
