Defence ministry approves establishment of 19 ‘BRO Cafes’ in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, 22 Jun: Ministry of Defence has approved setting up of wayside amenities at 19 locations on different sections of roads with Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in Arunachal Pradesh.

These wayside amenities will be branded as BRO Cafes.

In total, the ministry has approved establishment of such wayside amenities on 75 border roads in 12 states/UTs.

These are intended to provide basic amenities and comfort to the tourists and lead to boosting of economic activities in border areas, besides generating employment for the local people, said a statement.

In Arunachal, the BRO Cafes will be set up at Daporijo, Bame, Koloriang, Pasighat, Mechukha, Moying, Thumbin, Yingkiong, Tippi, Durga Mandir, Km 79, Tenga, Rama Camp, Sela Top, Tawang, Jengthu, Hayuliang, Wakro and Changwinti.
