NAMSAI, 26 Jun: Taking serious note of the call issued by some insurgent groups regarding a meeting to be held at Camp Hebron in Nagaland on 29 June, and that some individuals from Arunachal Pradesh are being coerced to attend the meeting, Eastern Range IGP Isaac Pertin in a press release on Saturday reiterated that “no citizen of Arunachal has to feel under duress

due to any coercive tactic being used by an insurgent group.”

“If any specific threat is received, the citizens are requested to come forward and report to the police, and their identity shall be kept secret,” the IGP said, adding that “the citizens will be protected at all costs, and any illegal activity by the insurgents shall be dealt with accordingly.”
