AALO, 5 Oct: West Siang DC Penga Tato inspected the construction of Package 9 of the Potin-Pangin national highway on 3 October to take stock of the progress of work.
The DC inspected the drain works in Aalo town, the foundation excavation for Sipu bridge and the under-construction Mebbu bridge in Hissam.
Tato, who was accompanied by PWD (highway) field officers, authority engineers of the MoRTH and staff of the contractor, instructed the representative of the contractor to expedite the work for the proposed four-lane road in Aalo township portion, “as the commuters and people of all walks of life are facing acute hardship,” and directed the authority engineers of the MoRTH to “follow up the matter with the authorities for early approval of the DPR for four-lane.”
The DC also instructed the contractor to ensure quality while constructing the road. (DIPRO)
