Union housing and urban affairs ministry assures to extend support, says Phassang

NEW DELHI, 7 Dec: Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) mayor Tame Phassang informed that high-ranking officers under the union ministry of housing and urban affairs have assured to extend all possible support to the IMC and state as a whole. The assurance came when Phassang called on joint secretary and national mission director of Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban (SBM-U) Roopa Mishra and director ministry of housing & urban affairs SK Jain at New Delhi on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Phassang apprised both the officers about various programmes being taken up by the IMC under AMRUT 2.0 project. He also briefed them about ongoing projects like solid waste management plants (SWMP), sewage treatment plants (STP) and other major projects under the IMC jurisdiction. The mayor was accompanied by ward No. 16 Corporator Tarh Achak, said an IMC release.
