Aspirants express disappointment over CBI inquiry into paper leak case

ITANAGAR, 9 Feb: The Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee on Thursday expressed disappointment over the investigation being carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the APPSC paper leak scam.

Addressing a press conference here, one of the aspirants said that “whatever arrest has been made by the CBI is just an iceberg to calm down the situation.”

He claimed that he visited the CBI office here on Wednesday and was informed by an official that the CBI “has not come to arrest but to investigate the case.”

Seeking support from the people of the state, the aspirant said that the committee will “meet the government on Friday,” and stage a dharna from 11 February if the government fails to find a solution to the case.

“So far, 15-20 cases of Arunachal Pradesh have been taken up by the CBI but none of them has been convicted,” another aspirant said.
