SEPPA, 10 Feb: East Kameng DC N Borang has issued an order prohibited dumping of construction materials along the main road in Seppa town.
The DC asked all those responsible for dumping debris, sand gravels, bricks and other construction materials to remove them from the main road within a week, with 10 February being the first day.
Violators will be penalised under Section 188 of the IPC and other relevant section of law, the order read.
The DC said that construction materials such as sand, gravel, bricks, etc, have been dumped on the roads, shrinking the already congested town road.
“Some off-road vehicles have also been seen parked along the road haphazardly by some individuals and owners, thereby causing traffic congestion and inconvenience to the public,” the order read.
The DC instructed the SP and the executive/town magistrate to implement the order in letter and spirit. (DIPRO)
