Training prog on youth leadership

SAGALEE, 21 Feb: Fifty youths participated in a three-day training programme themed ‘Youth leadership and community development’, which was held here in Papum Pare district recently.

The programme was organised by the district unit of the Nehru Yuva Kendra, in collaboration with the SIDSA Youth Club.

Over the course of the three days, “an awareness session on volunteerism and leadership through youth club movement and personality development and life skills were taken,” the NYK informed in a release, adding that “a session on water harvesting and conservation was also included, wherein the participants took pledge to save water and promote rainwater harvesting initiated by the government of India.”

Arunachal Cricket Association member Techi Tuku, who inaugurated the programme, encouraged the youths to be active in sports-related activities and live a positive life in thoughts and actions.
