KHONSA, 13 Mar: The social audit team of Tirap district, led by resource person Kaplun Jomoi, conducted ‘jan sunwai’ (public hearing) programmes at different gram panchayats on Monday.
The social audits were conducted at Sanliam-Pongkong, Upper Kolam, Lower Kolam, Khela, and Chomoithung gram panchayats.
The team, under the directorate of social audit, conducted social audit of MGNREGA, PMAY (G) and panchayat-related schemes. The resource person also created awareness on the MGNREGA and the PMAY (G).
It was the first of its kind programme held in the district to check implementation of schemes.
The social audits were also attended by Khonsa BDO Jangpong Tangjang, Lazu BDO Kaming Ramwa and APO (RE) Telem Kitnya. (DIPRO)
