ITANAGAR, 2 May: Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) signed two memorandums of understanding (MoU), with the Indian Institute of Studies & Services (IISS) and the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), here on Monday.
The MoUs cover several important areas, including exchange of research information, joint organisation of seminars and conferences, and value-added courses, both physical and online.
The first agreement was signed by DNGC Principal Dr MQ Khan and IISS director Dr Sanya Khan, while the second MoU was signed by NIELIT Director (i/c) Rinto Das and Dr Khan. “This agreement covers funding for computers in labs and classrooms, training programmes, support for placement facilities, and sharing library resources,” the college informed in a release, adding that “both parties entered into 11 points MoU, which is expected to bolster the college’s academic growth and help it achieve NAAC accreditation.”
Stating that “the signing of the MoUs were essential for the college to achieve its academic goals and improve the overall student experience,” Dr Khan informed that “the NIELIT has been collaborating with DNGC for past several years, and, from the first week of August, two certificate courses will be introduced, one in soft skills and communicative English, and the other in bio-informatics.”
