ZIRO, 17 Nov: Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Bamin Nime commended the performance of the Central Bank of India’s (CBoI) Ziro branch in terms of providing on-time loans to beneficiaries.
Chairing a district-level meeting on the SVANidhi se Samriddhi scheme here on Thursday, the DC urged the other banks in the district to “follow suit.”
He suggested “clubbing up the SVANidhi scheme with the upcoming Seva Aapke Dwar camp for broader outreach activities, particularly in Yachuli and Old Ziro areas.”
DUDA Executive Engineer Nich Jacob highlighted the details of the PM SVANidhi and Samriddhi schemes, and expressed dissatisfaction over “non-disbursement of loans by some of the public sector banks to the beneficiaries covered under the schemes.”
The meeting was attended by the EEs of the power department and the PWD, the DFCSO, the ICDS deputy director, the district labour & employment officer, and the branch managers of the SBI, Apex Bank, Central Bank, and Rural Bank. (DIPRO)
