Min’s adviser launches SAMAST project

ITANAGAR, 19 Jul: The power minister’s adviser, Jikke Tako, launched the Scheduling, Accounting, Metering and Settlement of Transactions in Electricity (SAMAST) project, executed by the SLDC division of the power department, at the APSLDC building near the 132/33kv substation in Chimpu on Friday.

“The SAMAST project is a state-of-the-art web-based analytical tool which shall help the State Load Dispatch Centre in collecting real-time data from electrical distribution divisions, intra-state generating stations, bulk consumers, and intra-state open access consumers of Arunachal Pradesh, thereby improving power system management in the state,” said a release from the power department.

The project, amounting to Rs 10.34 crores, was funded by the central government through the power system eevelopment fund, the release said.

The launch was witnessed by the department’s engineers, the administrative officer of Devi Energies Pvt Ltd, Dikshi, and representatives of the Genus Power Infrastructures Pvt Ltd, Jaipur (Rajasthan),and the Price Water Coopers Ltd, Kolkata (WB).
