NAHARLAGUN, 29 Jul: Naharlagun police on Monday apprehended five drug peddlers from different places here, and seized 11 grams of suspected heroin and 51 empty vials during the course of the day-long operation.
The apprehended drug peddlers have been identified as Md. Mijanur Rahman alias Zakir (22), Md. Moinul Haque (23), Saira Begum (23 years), Asadul Islam (20) and main drug supplier Nurul Haque (25), all from Assam’s Lakhimpur district.
They have been arrested under the NDPS Act, SP Mihin Gambo informed in a release.
