Shops in Midpu-Kola Camp area inspected

MIDPU, 16 Aug: Unannounced checking of shops in the Midpu-Kola Camp area in Doimukh was conducted by an inspection team, led by Doimukh CO Nyalisa Raji and Papum Pare Trade Development Officer Tai Arun, to check violation of trading licence rules and unauthorised trade activities.

Members of the Papum Pare district unit of the All Nyishi Youth Association also joined the inspection team in carrying out the checking.

Most of the shops were found to be running with proper trading licenses. A few shopkeepers who were running shops and other business establishments without trading licence were served challans and given new application forms.

The team also visited the hardware shop of Rakesh Panday and Rajesh Panday in Kola Camp. Though the hardware shop is closed, its trading licence, which is in the name of the buildings’ owner, was verified with the owner himself, and the team also took note of the materials in stock.

Doimukh SDO Kipa Raja also joined the inspection team to oversee the checking.

The inspection team also comprised staffers of the trade & commerce department and personnel from the Doimukh police station. (DIPRO)
