APSSB questions out of syllabus

Editor,

The APSSB is a platform that thousands and thousands of unemployed aspirants trust. However, there seem to be loopholes as the question papers were set haphazardly, despite the syllabus having been mentioned in the advertisement, which invalidates the recruitment norms.

If the questions were to be set willy-nilly, why had the commission given us the syllabus? It would have been better if the syllabus had not been provided. In every examination – APPSC, UPSC, SSC, etc – they have a syllabus and the questions are set accordingly.

The APSSB has not been setting questions according to the syllabus given in the advertisement. It seems deliberate, because most of the aspirants prepare according to the syllabus. This is not fair at all for the aspirants who are not preparing for the APPSC or the UPSC exams. Now we are bewildered as to how to prepare for the APSSB exam. In the recent CGL exam, conducted on 8 September, 2024, the questions were totally out of the syllabus. Particularly in the general awareness part, there were neither sports- nor current affairs-related questions, which are compulsory for every competitive exam.

Hence, I suggest to the commission to kindly adhere to the recruitment norm and set question papers according to the syllabus given in the advertisement. Stop playing with the poor and true aspirants.
