ITANAGAR, 25 Sep: The Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFSCAP) will celebrate its Silver Jubilee this year on the occasion of Indigenous Faith Day, December 1. The celebration will last for a month and culminate on December 28 with a large gathering.
IFSCAP president Dr. Emi Rumi outlined the organization’s vision, stating that “it aims to showcase the rich cultural values of Arunachal Pradesh while fostering a society that values, protects and integrates indigenous knowledge and education into modern development.”
Dr. Rumi announced that the celebration will include a series of activities such as symposiums, dramas and discussions in electronic and print media, essay writing, painting competitions and more. Experts from various fields will be invited to participate.
He also emphasized the importance of the Freedom of Religion Act and the department’s nomenclature. Dr. Rumi reported that a meeting with the Chief Minister was fruitful, with the CM expressing positivity regarding their agenda focused on the survival of indigenous faith and beliefs.
Discussions were held with the CM about strengthening Gurukul schools in Arunachal Pradesh and exploring ways to preserve and promote the state’s cultural legacy through research and documentation.
IFSCAP vice president (western) Pai Dawe and general secretary Maya Murtem were also present.
