DC calls for enforcement of 75% student attendance

SEPPA, 27 Sep: East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Sachin Rana emphasised the need for strict enforcement of 75% attendance policy to enhance student accountability and participation, aiming to boost attendance and overall academic engagement.

He said this during a district-level review meeting on school education he held here with various stakeholders from the education department to discuss strategies for enhancing the performance of Classes 10 and 12 students.

The DC commended the innovative use of the Adhyayan dashboard for data tracking, which has significantly improved informed decision-making in local schools, and stressed the importance of “completing the syllabus in a timely manner and implementing uniform school timings across the district.”

To support schools in data management, the Adhyayan Foundation will provide training on Google Forms to school leaders and data operators who are experiencing difficulties in accurately completing forms.

Schools are expected to submit precise data on all monthly tests conducted by subject teachers for thorough analysis and monitoring of the students’ performance.

During the meeting, school leaders shared various initiatives they have undertaken to improve student performance. (DIPRO)
