MEBO, 29 Nov: The East Siang district unit of the Arunachal Teachers’ Association (ATA) has decided to play a proactive role in the ‘Eco-Clean Mebo Mission (ECMM)-2024.
It will organise roadside plantation drives from Raneghat towards Ayeng village under the ECMM in the first week of April next year. Further, plantation and beautification activities will be carried out throughout the year in every school under the supervision of the head of the institutions.
The decisions were taken in a meeting of the ATA’s district unit, chaired by its president Tabung Ering.
The ATA’s East Siang district unit secretary Kalen Komut said that the schools can play a proactive role to restore India’s diminishing forest cover.
The meeting was attended by the principals, vice principals, headmasters and the head teachers of various schools of Mebo subdivision.
