GORI, 23 Dec: The West Siang Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) and Basar-based ICAR regional centre jointly celebrated Kisan Diwas at the ICAR research farm here in Leparada district on Monday with an awareness programmes for farmers.
The event aimed to generate awareness among the farmers about various agriculture-based government schemes and introduce them to scientific and modern farming techniques to encourage sustainable agricultural practices.
Addressing the 30 attending farmers, ICAR Regional Centre Head Prof L Wangchu emphasised the significance of adopting innovative farming methods and leveraging government initiatives to enhance agricultural productivity.
The farmers were later taken on a tour of the ICAR research farm, where they observed ongoing research activities and interacted with scientists to gain insights into practical applications.
