PASIGHAT, 21 Feb: Prominent businessman Krishnandan Thakur of Pasighat market in East Siang district passed away at the age of 75 years.
Thakur, who was also known as KN Thakur, died following a heart attack in his native village Bhaluahi in Sheohar, Bihar on 20 February.
He is survived by his wife, three sons and many grandsons and daughters.
Thakur had arrived here in 1967, when the town was still developing. He also served as general secretary of the Pasighat Market Association for many years and had contributed immensely to the development of the society.
State BJP president Kaling Moyong expressed profound grief over the passing of Thakur and conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
