Editor,
I am writing to draw the attention of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPS) towards the genuine concerns of aspirants who are currently preparing for the upcoming APPSC mains examination.
Many candidates, including myself, are finding it extremely challenging to complete our revision in the limited time provided. For instance, a single technical subject like soil mechanics and foundation engineering takes nearly 10 days to revise thoroughly. With over 20 subjects in total, the time required for effective preparation and multiple rounds of revision is considerably more.
Revision is a crucial part of competitive exam preparation, often determining success or failure. Given the vastness of the syllabus and the depth of conceptual understanding required, I humbly request the commission to consider extending the mains examination by at least one more month. This extension will allow candidates to better consolidate their knowledge and enhance their performance, ultimately leading to a fairer and more competitive examination process.
