DOIMUKH, 1 Aug: A five-day national workshop aimed at familiarizing faculty members with the core elements of the National Education Policy (NEP) and enhancing their capacity in designing NEP-aligned syllabi, setting competency-based question papers, and evaluating answer scripts effectively was organized at the Government College here from 28 July.
The inaugural ceremony was followed by technical sessions with Dr DK Jha providing a comprehensive overview of NEP-2020, its guiding principles, and implementation strategies.
The second day of the workshop focused on curriculum design, led by Prof Oken Lego, who elaborated job-oriented, learner-centric, and interdisciplinary syllabus structures.
Dr Sonam Wangmu provided insights into aligning existing curricula with NEP mandates.
On day three, Prof Lego led the sessions on question paper setting, emphasizing academic integrity, blueprint design, and evaluation based on cognitive levels. Participants also engaged in practical exercises and peer-review discussions on sample question papers.
Dr Arun Kumar Pandey conducted all sessions on day four, focusing on answer paper evaluation techniques, including rubric-based and continuous assessment approaches.
The final day was reserved for group presentations by participants, showcasing their learning and practical assignments.
Dr DK Jha provided constructive feedback and encouraged further adoption of NEP practices in the respective institutions.
The event concluded with distribution of certificates.
The workshop was inaugurated by Government College Doimukh Principal Dr Taw Azu, while Dr Tadam Ruti was the programme coordinator.
