LIKABALI, 14 Jan: Around 10,000 devotees from within and outside the state visited the Akashi Ganga here in Lower Siang during Makar Sankranti and offered prayers and took holy dips at the sacred site.
As per Hindu belief, bathing in Akashi Ganga during Makar Sankranti purifies the soul and washes away sins.
The annual religious event was organized by the Malini Vikash Parishad in close collaboration with the Lower Siang district administration. (DIPRO)
