RUKSIN, Nov 27: The 7th triennial conference of the Karko Ao Welfare Association (KAWA) concluded with a resolution to work for overall development of the community and maintain peaceful coexistence with other communities of the state.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Home Minister Kumar Waii, MP Ninong, MLAs Kento Rina and Nyamar Karbak, state BJP President Tapir Gao and Lower Siang Deputy Commissioner attended the second day of the three-day conference on November 24.
The Chief Minister and other dignitaries in their speech urged the community members to maintain unity and peace and take active part in the developmental process.
The meeting also reconstituted the KAWA for the year 1018-2020.
