ITANAGAR, Sep 11: Inaugurating two temporary vending zones at Ganga Market Itanagar on Monday, the Itanagar-Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner urged the vendors to work in coordination with each other.
He directed the All Arunachal Pradesh Hawkers and Street Vendors Federation (AAPHSVF) to not allow mushrooming of such vendors at locations other than the designated ones.
The DC further hoped that the area would be well maintained by the vendors and also assured to provide cooperation from the District Administration. Stressing that it is important to recognize the services of the vendor, he also issued identity cards to the vendors.
Chief Councillor Kipa Kaku also asked the vendors to work in coordination and stressed that the sitting of the vendors should be rotation wise so that every vendor gets equal chance.
AAPHSVF General Secretary, Roger Nabam Hina informed that two vending zones have been constructed at Ganga under Ward 6 and 13 – one for selling food items and other for clothing.
Deputy Chief Councillor Tarh Nachung, Councillors, CMEO, MEE and a host of other officials attended the inaugural programme. (DIPRO)
