SEPPA, Dec 15: Polling personnel deputed for the by-election to the Pakke-Kessang assembly constituency participated in a sensitization training conducted by the election office here in East Kameng district on Friday.
Addressing the officials, General Election Observer (ECI), M Joy Singh, urged them to ensure successful completion of the by-poll, while District Election Officer, Rajeev Takuk, stressed on the personnel being totally impartial.
Takuk called for mandatory display of the ECI’s logos and other important notices at every polling station, and assured to provide “all kinds of protection and assistance, as permissible under the prescribed rule” to the polling personnel.
He also suggested to the officials to download the ECI’s election app to gain a better understanding of the election process.
