ITANAGAR, Jun 18: The All Pakke-Kessang District Students’ Union has appealed to the authorities to conduct recruitment for the posts of auxiliary nurse midwife (ANM) meant for Pakke-Kessang within the district and not in East Kameng district.
In a representation to the medical education director (training & research), the union on Thursday stated that despite its appeal to the authorities last year, the recruitment for the posts of ANM for Pakke-Kessang was held in East Kameng HQ Seppa, which it said created problems for the candidates and officials of Pakke-Kessang.
“Pakke-Kessang district with its headquarters at Lemmi is functioning independently and the administration and district medical officer are competent enough to conduct the recruitment of ANMs at Pakke-Kessang. Therefore, any future recruitment for the posts of ANM be held under Pakke-Kessang DMO at Lemmi, instead of Seppa,” it said.
