ITANAGAR, Jun 18: Health Secretary P Parthiban has informed that the department will vacate the Covid-19 quarantine centre (QC) at the police training centre (PTC) in Banderdewa before the end of this month.
“The PTC Covid-19 quarantine facility will not be required after the 30th of this month,” he said.
Earlier, the inspector general of police (training) had written to the health secretary, urging him to vacate the QC, informing that the resumption of basic training of the 47th batch of constable recruits is likely to start from the first week of July, in view of the union government’s decision to unlock the country in phases.
The police have also requested the health department to sanitize the QC building after vacating it.
