AALO, Jun 18: West Siang DC Moki Loyi reviewed the district’s performance in routine immunization (RI) during 2019-20, and under the RI micro-plan in 2020-21 during a meeting of the district task force here on Thursday.
Besides advocating proper survey involving doctors, teachers, ASHAs and anganwadi workers to ensure “more than 90 percent coverage by December 2020,” the DC asked the medical officers to be in touch with the administrative officers in the outposts “to sort out hurdles in service delivery and other problems that require administrative intervention.”
DMO Dr Moli Riba called for making “better efforts to bring out a more realistic micro-plan, focusing on forms 3, 4 and 5.”
Due to the bifurcation of districts, West Siang has become “more compact and (it has become) easier to raise the present 76 percent coverage to a much higher target within these remaining months,” the DMO said.
ICDS Deputy Director (in-charge) Baye Koyu assured to “pass instructions to all anganwadi workers to be part of the programme.”
Medical Superintendent Dr Linya Lollen, DFWO Dr Tomar Kamki and DPM Yomto Lollen made PowerPoint presentations on review mechanism, routine immunization and its targets, and achievements.
Doctors from CHCs, PHCs and sub-centres also offered suggestions. (DIPRO)
