ITANAGAR, 12 May: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein expressed profound grief over the passing away of retired joint director of school education, Niharendu Dutta, who died in his hometown at Howrah in West Bengal.
Dutta joined the state’s education department as a senior teacher in the state in the early 70’s. He had retired as the joint director of school education in 2005, when Mein was the education minister.
He also served as the advisor to the education minister after his retirement from service.
“Dutta was an experienced and knowledgeable person and served the people of the state with utmost sincerity and dedication during his entire service life,” Mein said.
The DCM conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. (DCM’s media cell)
