ITANAGAR, 18 Jun: The Itanagar Traffic Wardens (ITW) have appealed to the state government to regularize their service at the earliest.
Referring to the cabinet note dated 13 March, 2015, and the high-level meeting held on 22 January, 2017, for absorption of the ITWs under the capital SP, the ITWs in a ‘memorandum-cum-reminder letter’ to the chief minister on Friday appealed to the state government to fulfil its written assurance for regularization of their service.
The traffic wardens were recruited by a board formed by the government on 16 January, 2011, as per the government’s recruitment rules. “After completion of a month’s basic training, the ITWs have been performing their duties in the capital region with sincerity and dedication for the last many years. The performance of the ITWs has already been commended by the government,” the memorandum said.
