MLA flags off ambulance for Taliha

ITANAGAR, 18 Jun: Taliha MLA Nyato Dukam on Friday flagged off an ambulance fitted with various facilities for Taliha township in Upper Subansiri district.

Dukam said that people have been facing trouble due to unavailability of a dependable transportation service to ferry patients from rural and far-flung areas of the district.

“I have procured              the ambulance from MLALAD fund for the people of my assembly constituency,” he said.

Dukam announced that a committee consisting of a “few genuine and important people” will take care of the ambulance, and that he would “arrange the necessary support and cooperation for driver and fuels.”

The committee will ensure proper use of the ambulance in the service of humanity, added Dukam.

Referring to the Covid-19 pandemic, Dukam informed about various initiatives taken by him for the health workers of the state.

Saying that the pandemic is still not over, he urged the people to take care of their families and maintain Covid-appropriate behaviour.
