ITANAGAR, 21 Dec: The two-day online ‘legal awareness-cum-training programme’ organized by the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority in collaboration with the union posts department concluded on Tuesday.
During the programme, Postal Department Inspector Goge Basar encouraged the officials of the postal department and the district legal services authorities (DLSA) to ensure that justice is accessible to every citizen, especially to the citizens who live in far-flung areas of the state.
Twenty-seven staffers of the postal department, along with 19 DLSA members participated in the programme, which concluded with the training of the staffers and officials of 31 identified post offices and sub-post offices under the Arunachal division.
The participants were made aware of the legal services and schemes, child rights laws, women’s rights laws, the Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme and the NALSA legal services mobile app.
