ITANAGAR, 13 May: The Northeast regional centre (NERC) of the GB Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (GBPNIHE) here conducted a demonstration programme on rural technologies and the institute’s R&D activities for the undergraduate students of Pasighat (E/Siang)-based College of Horticulture & Forestry (CHF), who visited the NERC as part of their weeklong state educational tour.
NERC Head MS Lodhi made a brief presentation about the institute’s R&D activities and low-cost rural technologies. This was followed by poster presentations on ongoing project activities, and demonstration of laboratory instruments and rural technologies available at the NERC.
A total of 25 students, under the supervision of CHF Assistant Professors Dr S Ngomle and Shankar Mayanglambam, visited the NERC.
