ITANAGAR, 6 Jun: Governor BD Mishra reviewed ‘the process for the annual examination calendar’ of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) at the Raj Bhavan here on Monday.
The review meeting was attended by, among others, APPSC Chairman Nipo Nabam, APPSC member retired major general Jarken Gamlin, Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan, PWD Commissioner Kaling Tayeng, and APPSC Secretary Jayanta Kr Ray.
The governor said that the selection process of the APPSC and the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board “must be only on merit basis and without any scope for error in their selection process.”
He suggested that the APPSC fix a date “for the state government to submit the requisition for various vacant posts, and also
which will be available by the end of the selection process.”
Qualification marks in the prelims, physical test for the post of deputy superintendent of police, and common recruitment rules were also discussed during the meeting. (Raj Bhavan)
