As we all know, we live in hilly areas where landslides are very likely. All the districts of Arunachal Pradesh are prone to landslides, so why are we not taking any action? What are we waiting for?
Roads are not properly maintained, even in the ICR region. The flyover in Naharlagun is also at a standstill, with no progress so far. With proper planning and better construction of roads, change is possible. I also wonder, in areas with a high risk of landslides, why there is no nearby medical facility. Isn’t someone supposed to be always ready?
Along with medical facilities, we need personnel to help those who are injured immediately. We should also review drainage systems to prevent severe damage. Why is the government waiting to prevent these incidents? Better late than never.
