ITANAGAR, 23 Jan: The state Sankalp: Hub for empowerment of women, under the women and child development (WCD) department, organised a state-level capacity building programme for functionaries on Mission Shakti and Mission Vatsalya at the DK Convention Hall here on Thursday.
The programme aimed at strengthening the technical and operational capacity of district-level functionaries of one-stop centres (OSCs) and district child protection units (DCPUs) through detailed presentations and hands-on demonstrations on proper use of portals and dashboards under Mission Shakti scheme and Mission Vatsalya scheme.
The training focused on ensuring smooth functioning, accurate data entry, effective monitoring, and timely reporting of scheme-related activities.
A detailed presentation on Mission Vatsalya was delivered by SCPS PM Konchok Dolma, assisted by SCPS data entry operator Mek Pertin, and SARA PM Khoda Radha. They also elaborated the CARINGS portal, which has been recently migrated to the Mission Vatsalya portal.
A presentation on Mission Shakti was delivered by WCD CDPO (HQ) Bahi Koyu, during which the functionaries were sensitised to the step-by-step usage of Mission Shakti portal and dashboards.
Resource persons from the department highlighted common mistakes observed during data entry, and the functionaries were guided on corrective measures and best practices to ensure error-free data submission and smooth portal functioning.
WCD Director C Tangjang commended the functionaries for their dedication and commitment towards their duties, and emphasised the importance of digital reporting, saying, “If data are not entered in the portal, no matter how much work is done at the field level, the performance will not be reflected. Therefore, timely and accurate data uploading through the portal is essential.”
Resource person from the women and child development ministry, Priyanka Deoli, dwelt on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the She-box portal.
This was followed by interactive discussions and technical sessions, in which the participants actively engaged, seeking clarifications and sharing suggestions for further improvement of portal usage and field-level implementation.
