Editor,
We would like to bring to the notice of the Upper Siang district planning officer, the deputy commissioner, and the state government that the DDUSY-2024 batch beneficiaries of Upper Siang district are yet to receive their sanctioned amounts.
It’s been two years and there is no indication of disbursing the sanctioned amounts to the beneficiaries. On asking the district planning officer regarding the delay in releasing the fund, they suggested to us to ask the bank concerned, ie, the Rural Bank in Mariyang. The bank was unable to provide a concrete reason behind the delay in the sanctioning of the funds.
The Arunachal Rural Bank’s Mariyang branch, instead of providing concrete clarity in the matter to the beneficiaries rerouted the problems to the head office in Naharlagun. While the authority is talking in circles, the beneficiaries have been running from pillar to post, but in vain.
This inordinate delay in disbursing the sanctioned amount is putting a straightjacket on execution of the projects and has also left the beneficiaries distraught.
The beneficiaries spent huge amounts in preparing DPR, applying through applications, appearing in interview and travelling expenses. We, the beneficiaries of the 2024 batch, would like to request the authority concerned to speed up the release of the fund. We also request the chief minister to kindly intervene, so that the genuine beneficiaries may receive their sanctioned amount.
Concerned beneficiaries,
Mariyang,
Upper Siang
