HAWAI, 27 Mar: The Anjaw District Industries Centre (DIC) organised an entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) at the circuit house here on Friday, with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and sensitising the participants to various government schemes.

Addressing the participants, District Planning Officer Ozing Gao emphasised the importance and potential of entrepreneurship in driving local economic growth. He highlighted the vital role of the DIC in supporting aspiring entrepreneurs and strengthening the district’s economic landscape.

DAO Oying Tayeng encouraged the participants to take advantage of available schemes and opportunities. Representatives from the ArSRLM and Anjaw ADTH Kago Gyati also spoke, elaborating their respective departmental initiatives and support mechanisms for entrepreneurs.

Participants Igo Pul and Weringso Longling shared their experiences, inspiring others with their entrepreneurial journeys and practical insights.

DIC EO BM Kumar delivered a detailed presentation on the role of the DIC and the significance of the EDP. He addressed queries related to eligibility criteria, loans, skill development, and application procedures, providing clarity and guidance to the participants.

The programme concluded with an interaction session, reinforcing the importance of entrepreneurship in fostering self-reliance and sustainable development. (DIPRO)
