PANGIN, Jul 18: The third day of the series of awareness programmes on disaster management and preparedness organized by the District Disaster Management Authority of Siang district, in collaboration with the NDRF’s 12th Battalion of Doimukh, was held at the community hall of Riga on Wednesday.
Sub-Inspector (NDRF) Ranveer Singh Pathania gave a detailed presentation on various aspects of disaster management, including school safety, precautionary and preventive measures to be taken during disasters and emergencies.
A demonstration on rescue operation, evacuation and first-aid was also conducted by the NDRF team.
Students and teachers, general public, officers and officials of Riga sub-division attended the programme.
On Tuesday, a similar programme was held at Boleng, which was attended by over 500 students from various schools of Boleng area, teachers, government officers and officials of Boleng sub-division. (DIPRO)
