AALO, Jul 20: Members of the Gangkak Women self-help group (SHG) led by Sirurijo tea garden director Yayum Gangkak went on an exposure tour to Delhi, Agra and other parts of the country recently.
The SHG has been taking up self-sustenance activities like traditional weaving, plantation, gardening, animal rearing, etc, for the last many years.
Gangkak informed that the exposure tour was conducted to enable the women to “break the age-old isolation” and to keep them abreast of lifestyles, development and economic condition of the people in the national mainstream. (DIPRO)
