ITANAGAR, Aug 13: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday flagged off two mobile water testing laboratories to ensure safe and potable water supply in rural areas.
Equipped with the latest facilities for effective testing of drinking water, the mobile labs, funded by the PHED, will travel across the state and conduct on-the-spot testing of quality parameters like pH, alkalinity, hardness, residual chlorine, ammonia, nitrite, fluoride, turbidity, etc, of water samples, said the chief minister.
Besides on-the-spot testing of water quality, the mobile labs will also be used to spread awareness about clean drinking water, he said. (CMO)
