ITANAGAR, Sep 23: Reality singing talent show, Tani Idol-2018, has announced its top 10 singing sensations, with Ram Tagang from East Kameng district taking the lead with the highest points from audiences and judges.
Balo Demo, Binod Pegu, Meenam Goi, Marpi Bam, Tali Hali, Bitupan Payeng, Rajiv Kyamdo, Maikel Doley, and Devokanta Taid are the other nine contestants who have been selected for the semifinals.
The 10 contestants, who have been selected out of 15 contestants during the third elimination round, will compete with each other again for the top 5 spot in the semifinals to be held on 2 October.
Judges include Jeli Kaye, John Sonam, and guest judge, assistant professor from RGU, Ashok Burman. While the judges have 70 percent voting rights, the audiences were given 30 percent.
Attending the programme, MLA Tage Taki said the objective of organizing the show by the Apex Tani Foundation (APFAFO) is to promote the message of social coherence, harmony, and sustainable coexistence among the Tani clans.
