YUPIA, Nov 17: The Papum Pare District Health Society met here on Friday under Deputy Commissioner Dr Joram Beda to review the financial expenditure under the Rogi Kalyan Samiti, the gap analysis with regard to the health and wellness centre, Mission Indradhanush, Mission Pratiraksha, etc.
Pointing out the “poor financial progress” of several schemes, the DC directed the TRIHMS CMS and all the MOs in-charge to achieve 100% fund utilization by the end of the second quarter.
He opined that the poor performance of the JSK was because of the “tendency by expecting mothers from villages to deliver in hospitals in the capital complex.”
“We need to sync our efforts in Janani Suraksha Yojana with the mother-child tracking system. ASHA incentives should be released in a timely manner, and all ANMs should ensure convergence of the VHSNC and the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan and conduct cleanliness drives in the villages from time to time,” he said.
The DC directed the MOs in-charge to utilize the RKS funds to make the hospitals more patient-friendly, and to ensure better work environment for the doctors. He reiterated the administration’s aim to resolve the land issue with regard to the Doimukh CHC, so that the project is completed at the earliest.
The DC also expressed disappointment over the poor performance of the RBSK because of poor funding.
The RBSK doctors on their part said they have not been provided with any fund for vehicles to conduct field visits.
“The performance of the district under Mission Indradhanush is 88% and we shall achieve 100% target, maybe more,” DMO Dr Subu Tasso Kampu said.
Among others, TRIHMS CMS Dr Hage Ambing, MS Dr T Taki, DRCHO Dr Worar Taku, programme officers and MOs in-charge attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
